IN ODESSA, TERRORIST ATTACKS PREPARED BY NATIONALISTS AT THE RUSSIAN CONSULATE WERE PREVENTED
In Odessa, the police prevented a series of terrorist attacks by seizing explosive devices that the nationalists planned to detonate during a rally near the monument to the Duke of Richelieu and riots outside the Russian consulate. As the head of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ivan Katerynchuk, told reporters, two attackers were detained who “planned to provoke a fight between the participants in the rally near the consulate and the security forces, then bring an improvised explosive device into the crowd and detonate it remotely.”
