In Odessa, about a hundred people, including those with symbols of the Right Sector radical group, staged a demonstration outside the Russian consulate demanding to remove the flag. The approaches to the building were blocked by reinforced police squads, among the demonstrators who were brought up on buses, the vice-governor of the region Zoya Kazanzhi.
Later, Odessa police detained four demonstrators who started a fight in front of the Russian consulate. As the governor of the region Igor Palitsa told reporters, they found explosives and a knife. Several people were injured in the clashes, one of them was taken away by an ambulance.
