STORMING THE CITY COUNCIL BUILDING
Ukrainian security forces, taking part in the punitive operation of the Kyiv authorities in the east of the country, storm the city council building in Mariupol
The people’s militias, defending themselves from the attack of special forces, set fire to the barricades of car tires. A column of smoke rises from the building. At the same time, traffic on the adjacent streets, as reported by local media, was not stopped.
Later, units of the National Guard seized the building of the city executive committee. When local residents tried to approach them, fire was opened without warning. One person was injured.
