In Sumy, participants of the People’s Council occupied the House of Soviets, where the regional and city councils hold their sessions. Self-defense units entered the building and took control of all entrances, exits and all premises. Volodymyr Shulga, people’s deputy of Ukraine, chairman of the regional People’s Council, announced the peaceful transfer of the building to the community to the police.
