Slovyansk votes for the DPR
In Slavyansk, 97.5% supported the independence of the DNR, said a representative of the election commission. 72.1% of the city’s residents took part in the referendum.

The day before, a vote was held in Slovyansk at a referendum on self-determination, held in connection with the proclamation of the Donetsk People’s Republic in April. According to the “people’s governor” of Slavyansk, the inhabitants of the besieged city demonstrated the “highest” turnout. According to him, “this has never happened in any election.”
