Contrary to the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv , which prohibited to establish tents, kiosks, canopies, including temporary and mobile during the peaceful mass actions, from 22 November 2013 to January 7, 2014 at the Independence Square, Khreschatyk Street and the European area, tents were still installed. The commandant of the tent city became Andriy Parubiy .
