IN DONETSK, MINERS HELD A PROTEST AGAINST THE ACTIONS OF THE KIEV AUTHORITIES
The Yuzhnodonbasska No. 1 and Yuzhnodonbasska No. 3 mines in the city of Vuhledar, Donetsk region, have partially suspended work. The miners went on strike. Only those who maintain the functioning of the mines in working condition descend into the face. A group of miners from Yuzhnodonbasskaya No. 1 and No. 3 arrived in Donetsk. On the square in front of the building of the Donetsk Regional Council, they held a protest action. They set up tents, protesting against the actions of the Kiev authorities. It is difficult to anger the harsh miners, but the local authorities seem to have succeeded, say representatives of the proclaimed Donetsk Republic. According to them, over the past two days, more and more miners come here, to the headquarters of the defense of Donbass, to sign up for the militia. Others help organize the referendum by distributing campaign materials and explaining to colleagues and relatives what question will be asked at the referendum.
