PROTESTERS SEIZED THE BUILDINGS OF THE REGIONAL STATE ADMINISTRATIONS IN VINNITSA.


Residents of the Ukrainian city of Vinnitsa in the west of the country seized the buildings of the regional administration and the regional council. Protesters demand the resignation of the governor of the Vinnytsia region Ivan Movchan.

People in the uniform of the Ukrainian rebel army entered the passenger cars of train No. 65 “Moscow-Kishinev”, which made a stop at the railway station in Vinnitsa, and began to “check documents”. At the same time, citizens who presented Russian passports were forced to hand over their money and gold jewelry. Attempts by the robbed to file relevant applications with local internal affairs bodies ended in vain. The police refused to accept such statements.

In the Vinnitsa region,  the head of the district election headquarters of presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko was found killed. It is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

6 December 2014

Today, hundreds of people have gathered in the center of Vinnitsa, demanding the resignation of the governor. They broke through the police cordon and burst into the governor's office. But he was not in the building. As a result, the protesters installed a garbage can in the office and sent an appeal to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko demanding to immediately dismiss the head of the region. During the assault, the protesters threw stones at the police and sprayed tear gas. Eight policemen and six protesters were injured. The riots continued on the 7th.
