The fragments damaged the altar wall. In the church, stained-glass windows fell out from the blast wave, the windows were broken. The building itself is intact,” Archpriest Nikolai Fomenko, dean of the district, said. According to him,  “the shelling began yesterday evening (June 20)” and continued through the night. “The hostilities have not stopped here. An offensive is underway, close battles have begun,” Fomenko said. “They are shooting at residential areas, the private sector.”
