Throughout the day on June 3, fierce battles were fought between the people’s militia and the Ukrainian security forces near Slavyansk. Nine militiamen were killed and 12 others were injured.


The village of Semenovka, located near the city, is again subjected to the main blow, where the day before, as a result of massive shelling, the inhabitants were left without electricity – the power cable was  broken  .


Two fighter jets and two helicopters of the Ukrainian Air Force launched rocket attacks on the village of Semyonovka. “First, two fighter jets came in,  struck  and left in the direction of Izyum. Then two helicopters appeared from the direction of the feed mill, also struck and landed near the village of Raygorodok,” he said, without specifying whether there were any victims as a result of the air raid.


Two helicopters of the Ukrainian Air Force  struck repeated missile attacks on the village of Semyonovka near Slavyansk (Donetsk region). According to a representative of the people’s militia, “at this moment helicopters are bombing and machine-gunning the village of Cherevkovka.” “Helicopters entered from the direction of Nikolaevka. One fighter jet also flies over the city,” he added. “Apparently, aviation is escorting Ukrainian armored vehicles, the convoy is moving from Oleksandrivka,” a militia representative said. In addition, according to him, from the ground, the militia fired at aircraft from man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian security forces pulled up to one hundred units of armored vehicles to Sloviansk (Donetsk region), including tanks, self-propelled artillery mortars “Tulip”, howitzers “Gvozdika”, multiple launch rocket systems “Grad”, Stella Khorosheva, press secretary of the people’s mayor of Slavyansk, Vyacheslav Ponomarev, said. “An-30 was also seen over the territory of Slovyansk, and it still flies periodically,” she added.


Representatives of the people’s militia of Slavyansk (Donetsk region)  shot down  a Su-25 fighter and a Ukrainian Air Force helicopter, in addition, four armored vehicles were shot down. As a result of armed clashes in this area, two representatives of the people’s militia were killed.


“Today’s battle is the longest clash of all the time of confrontation in Ukraine,”   Stella Khorosheva, spokeswoman for the people’s mayor of Slovyansk , said . As a result of armed clashes between the people’s militia and Ukrainian security forces in the Slovyansk region, which continue all day, “there are casualties among the civilian population. Their number is constantly increasing.”
