Residents of Slavyansk are preparing for a referendum scheduled for May 11. According to Ponomarev, preparations for a significant date, even in combat conditions, are proceeding normally. Territorial commissions are being created, I think that by May 6 we will receive ballots. They should help us with this in Donetsk, but even if they cannot, we will print them ourselves. All possibilities, in principle, are, – said Vyacheslav Ponomarev. – We are not going to postpone the date of the referendum, there are no prerequisites for this. On the same day, the deputies of Slavyansk at an extraordinary session officially accepted the resignation of the mayor of the city, Neli Shtepa.
