At the entrance to Slavyansk from the city of Svyatogorsk, on the eve of the capture by the internal troops of Ukraine, a shootout began between unknown people and the forces of the People’s Militia of Slavyansk. According to Sergey Tsyplakov, deputy head of the People’s Militia of Donbass, unmarked military equipment completely blocked all approaches to Sloviansk. People’s self-defense fighters, along with reinforcements from Krasny Liman repulsed the offensive of the Ukrainian military, participating in a special security operation at the entrance to Slovyansk.
