Ukrainian security forces launched several artillery strikes on Slavyansk.
Speaker of the Parliament Oleksandr Turchynov, previously appointed by the Verkhovna Rada as Acting President of Ukraine, said that the Kyiv authorities are ready for the final stage of the military operation in the east of the country. According to him, the army is ready to carry out a cleansing operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and ensure the holding of the presidential elections there on May 25.
Militias in Semyonovka destroyed an armored personnel carrier and a weapons depot
Last night, the Ukrainian army again opened fire on the positions of the militia in the village of Semyonovka. This checkpoint is bombarded with shells and mines every day. And almost every day, shells hit the homes of civilians. The battle went on for several hours. The militia managed to knock out one enemy armored personnel carrier and destroy the weapons depot.
