LUGANSK ELECTORAL COMMISSION SUMMED UP THE VOTING RESULTS

Referendum results summed up in Luhansk region on self-determination were summed up, 96.2% of those who voted supported the Act on State Independence. Residents of the Lugansk region were asked to answer the question: “Do you support the act of state independence of the Luhansk People’s Republic?” According to Vasily Nikitin, 96.2% of the referendum participants answered “yes”, 3.2% – “no” and 0.74% of the ballots were rejected as invalid. Earlier, the CEC of the proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic reported that the turnout in the referendum was 81%. In total, 1.6 million voters are registered in the Luhansk region.
