Sevastopol may receive a special status in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea after the expansion of its powers. This was stated by the speaker of the Supreme Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov. Now Sevastopol is a city of national importance in Ukraine. Several Berkut fighters received Russian passports.

30 crews of the Air Force of Ukraine announced their withdrawal from them and going over to the side of the Crimean Autonomy. The servicemen joined the ranks of the Crimean defense with their combat vehicles.

The Crimean authorities announced the establishment of almost complete control over the military units stationed on the territory of the republic. Crimean self-defense units blocked the runways of all military airfields located in the region. According to representatives of the authorities, many servicemen have already left their units and went over to the side of the people.

After the announcement of the decree, the commander of the Ukrainian Navy Denis Berezovsky took the oath of allegiance to the inhabitants of Crimea. Self-defense detachments at the entrance to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea stopped a car containing almost half a ton of TNT, Channel One reported on Sunday.
