Sergei Aksenov: Crimea starts a new life.
“Crimea is now an autonomous republic. The Autonomous Republic of Crimea with powers that it never really had. At the same time, we do not consider the Kyiv authorities to be legitimate today. For us, she is not a representative of the authorities of the state of Ukraine. So until all these processes are defined, we do not recognize it, we do not see it, and we have nothing to do with them. ”-

Ministry of Defense will be created in Crimea
Prime Minister of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov promised to create his own Ministry of Defense in the republic. According to RIA Novosti on March 4, the head of the regional government made such a statement at a press conference in Simferopol. Earlier, Aksyonov had already resubordinated all power structures of the Crimea to himself.

He explained his decision by the fact that the security forces received orders from Kyiv that were contrary to the interests of the republic. In addition, Aksyonov ordered the creation of self-defense units in the region. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine considered this decision illegal and challenged it in court.
