APPEAL OF THE PRESIDIUM OF THE SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA TO THE PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE VIKTOR YANUKOVYCH

President of Ukraine Yanukovych V.F. Dear Victor Fedorovich! Peaceful Crimea is extremely alarmed by another surge of violence in the center of Kyiv. The massacre on the streets of the capital proves that the opposition perceived the numerous concessions from the authorities as a sign of weakness, and used the amnesty law as a respite before a new attempt to seize power in the country by force. Militants from the VO "Svoboda", "Right Sector" and other extremist organizations announced a general mobilization and call on people with firearms to go to the barricades. There are already the first victims of their criminal acts: on February 18, innocent people died at the hands of unrestrained bandits. These are no longer the peaceful protests that opposition leaders and biased media constantly talk about, and not even riots. This is the beginning of a civil war, the threat of which the Crimean parliament has repeatedly warned. Today we demand from you, as head of state, decisive action and emergency measures. This is also expected by hundreds of thousands of Crimeans who voted for you in the presidential elections in the hope of stability in the country. There is still a chance to preserve the foundations of the constitutional order and the unity of Ukraine. Tomorrow it may not be. In the event of a further escalation of civil confrontation, the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reserves the right to call on the inhabitants of the autonomy to stand up for civil peace and tranquility on the peninsula. Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Simferopol, February 18, 2014 No. 34-6/14-PVR as head of state, take decisive action and take emergency measures. 34-6/14-PVR There is still a chance to preserve the foundations of the constitutional order and the unity of Ukraine. 34-6/14-PVR There is still a chance to preserve the foundations of the constitutional order and the unity of Ukraine. 34-6/14-PVR

MAIDAN ACTIVISTS SMASHED SIX BUSES WITH CRIMEAN SECURITY FORCES NEAR KIEV

In Boryspil, Maidan activists with bats smashed and did not let six buses with police officers and tax officials in civilian clothes into the capital, writes Vgorod. Cars with Crimean policemen and tax officials were heading towards Kyiv. Men and women in helmets, with bats and sticks, blocked the main street of Boryspil, surrounded the buses and began to break glass, puncture the wheels, and take things from the security forces from the buses. Among the so-called "trophies" of Maidan activists are police uniforms, handcuffs, credit cards, live bullets and ordinary men's clothing. The buses went in the opposite direction from Kyiv. Euromaidan supporters said that not a single vehicle would pass them - neither to Kyiv, nor to Boryspil airport. Traffic on the Borispol highway towards Kyiv is limited. Of the four lanes, only one remains free. All the rest are blocked by trucks. The congestion stretched for several kilometers. For some reason, traffic police officers on the highway refuse to explain the reason for the restriction.

HEAD OF THE CRIMEAN PARLIAMENT VLADIMIR KONSTANTINOV DOES NOT EXCLUDE THE SEPARATION OF CRIMEA FROM UKRAINE

This will happen in the event of an aggravation of the situation in the country!!! if, nevertheless, under pressure this central authority is broken, the supreme council of the republic will recognize only its own decisions as legitimate for the autonomy. "And then we will have the only way - this is the denunciation of the decision of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPSU of 1954 (on the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine. - IF)", Konstantinov said.

21 February 2014

The Presidium of the Supreme Council of Crimea appointed an extraordinary session for February 21 to discuss the situation in Ukraine. From that day on, pro-Russian residents of Crimea, refusing to recognize the new leadership of Ukraine, began an indefinite protest near the building of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, demanding the separation of Crimea from Ukraine and the creation of an independent state. Their opponents from among the supporters of Euromaidan tried to arrange brawls.
